OK, I compared it to your version, and one byte somewhere was changed... I don't know how, but it was different than it should have been. It is fixed now, the shadow at the edges works again

This updated patched exe also has another fix, for a bug in the stealth animation that could crash the game.
You can quickly see the bug in the mission Belagerungszustand, if you put your stealth tank on the bottom edge of the visible play field, at the right half: when the stealth animation touched the bottom edge of the play field, the lowest pixel line of the animation will become black (on 640x400: black with white moving pixels in it). This graphics bug crashes the game almost immediately in 640x400 resolution.

Oh, in my version I also changed the version number... since German C&C95 is 1.03, I changed it to 1.04x

Some other notes:
1. the whole mpsetup thing is not needed anymore with the new DLL patch; it all works with just the dll and nothing else. (Really, you were using a version that was already outdated 2 years ago)
2. My uncensor patch is NOT just a blood patch, as your installer says! It does a lot more than that! It uncensors all unit names and mission text too

Habe den Effekt auch beobachten können, jedoch ist das Spiel dabei nicht abgestürzt, auch nicht mit der 640x400 Auflösung, oder was muss man da noch machen?

Was die thipx32.dll angeht, habe ich die von der strike-team Homepage vor einigen Monaten runtergeladen. Wenn die schon so alt ist, was solls, LAN und Online Spiele liefen damit problemlos. Aber ich werde wohl die neue vor einigen Tagen erschienene thipx32.dll in die nächste Version des Installers reinnehmen, da diese auch unter win2k läuft.

Mir ist erst gar nicht aufgefallen, dass der auch von dir ist. Schön das du dich noch für so ein altes Spiel so engagierst.
Natürlich weiß ich, dass der Patch mehr macht, als einfach nur die Blutdarstellung wieder einzuführen. Ich habe die Bezeichnung Bloodpatch so gewählt, weil man allgemein Patches dieser Art unter den Namen Bloodpatch kennt. Aber da du der Urheber bist werde ich in der nächsten Version des Installers in den Uncut Patch umbenennen, oder welchen Namen würdest du ihm geben?

in 640x400, put the stealth tank half under the bottom edge of the screen, and then scroll to the left or right. That makes it crash.

Right. The site says "Windows 2000 and above." The original one needed people to manually set an IP of the person to connect to, or something like that. Very complicated for normal users. This one just makes all of that happen automatically

OK, ich habe's geschafft, dafür muss man jedoch den Kompatibilitätsmodus ausschalten. Bei eingeschaltetem Kompatibilitätsmodus gibt es keine Probleme.

On my PC it crashes both with and without compatibility mode... it's better to be safe and use the patched one.

guten tag alle zusammen
ich hab da ein problem unzwar ich starte das spiel aber es passiert nur ein schwazer bildschirm cd 1 von cnc 1 ist auch drin aber es rührt sich nichts ich hab auch versucht ohne cd dann fragt er nach cd ich leg ein und drück ok aber wieder nur schwazer bildschirm biss ich das spiel aus mache
ich besitze windows xp da dürfte es eigentlich keine probleme geben
könnte mir bitte jemand helfen danke

ich habe festgestellt das ausnahmezustand geht aber wenn ich normale missionen spiele muss ich bei der 2ten mission eine cd einlegen und sofort is wieder das schwarze bildschirm da und die cd's sind schwach zerkratzt müssen also noch funktionieren

Ah, ein C&C Fan der ersten Stunde. Du hast vermutlich die DOS-Version. Der Installer installiert aber die Gold Version von C&C1 (auch bekannt als WIN95 oder SVGA Version). Du hast entweder die Möglichkeit dir die freigegebene englische Version runter zu laden, oder deine DOS-Version über die DOS-Box zu spielen (wenn du dich mit der DOS-Box auskennst).
